Jacob Isaac “Jake” Damron of Indianapolis, Indiana was welcomed at the gates of his heavenly home on September 7, 2015. Jake was born on November 29, 1915 In Dwale, Floyd County, Kentucky to Virginia Thompson and John Damron. Jake is preceded in death by his wife Anna Lou “Stanley” Damron, a sister Della “Damron” Gerringer, a brother John Patrick Damron, a daughter Lenora “Damron” Plothow, and a grandchild Michelle Damron. Jake is survived by four sons John Phillip Damron of Shreve, Ohio, Bobby Stanley Damron of Kokomo, Indiana, David Patrick Damron of Florida, Michael Lee Damron of Indianapolis, Indiana and two daughters Della Louise “Damron” Paul of Macy, Indiana, and Katherine Ann “Damron” Ritter of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jake was a member of a large extended family of eighteen grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren. He completed a thirty two year career at Gen Corp. in Wabash, Indiana and retired to Englewood, Florida where he and his beloved wife enjoyed the winter for several years. Jake loved his family and will be greatly missed by them. Jake was a man of many strengths and thoroughly enjoyed life. He was a strong man of faith and led by example. He was very wise with a wealth of experiences that so many benefited from. A memorial service is being planned for the coming spring, 2016, so that all of his family will be able to attend.
